Yeah, I agree, this is a good one. Looking off seeing something more than the common people do. A true warrior. Great!

I'd like to try a colour version of this, if I can find the time to work on it. Watch this space!

I understand why you like it - she's very pretty, and her surroundings are quite realistic.

you've done excellent work here.

The feeling it instigates reminds me of the way we (mexicans) feel living in the US under the current situation...so foreboding

The rendering of the drapery and hat are fantastic. Simulation of elements with the flowing hair and a dramatic perspective make this one of my favorites too.

Although it's one of my faves, I'm very happy that everyone likes it too. It is pencil, with digital tone on a multiplied layer above. There is a slightly awkward tutorial on my first journal entry Dii-ta if you're interested to know more detail.

well it is a wonderful piece of art. I'm still so amazed at how you got such nice contrast with pencil. My pencil drawings always smudge so I've been trying to figure out a way to get nice clean lines while still maintaining the detail. TT-TT

why thank you AndyHep, i think i will check out your tutorial. slightly awkward you say? o_O lol, now i'm just curious! ^-^

that was the tutorial??? that was an artwork in itself! well hot damn. your pencil sketches alone are incredible! ^-^

ok, so how do u really manage to get such clean pencil drawings. i swear you use magic beans or something...

I can't figure it out for the life of me....>.<

hmm, not sure how they come out so 'clean'. I use technical pencils (0.5) h, hb, 2b on Britstol board - a very smooth surfaced drawing paper. Sometimes a 4b normal pencil. To avoid smudging I rest my drawing hand on a piece of paper. Erase with a putty rubber. Tweak the levels in Photoshop. Clean any scan lines/obvious dust etc with the cloner. Shrug. Its just the way it comes out.

thanks for the tips! i've never tried drawing on bristol board before. i'm always up for experimenting with new mediums and techniques, that's why i ask. lol, i think it's mostly your own sense of self that gets transfered into your art and it's nothing anyone can duplicate, which is true with any artist.

looking forward t seeing more amazing works from you! ^-^
