Having got behind with replying to all the people who watch this little piece of the internet, I'd just like to say thanks for stopping by and having a peek.  Cheers all :)

Some older work going up today, and doesn't time fly!  Characters from AEG's Tempest are slowly making their way onto my page and they feel recent to me.  But were done almost four years ago!  Yikes.

I'd just like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has looked at my new (and old!) work over the last few months and also for all the comments.  I was away from DA for far too long, and hope to keep up the more regular postings.  Cheers!

Greetings from the Deli, art pickers!
We've been beavering away quietly as ever, and we are proud to bring you a host of new items and features:

We are proud to present Illodeli Premium - a new tier of stock art that contains our most precious images. These aren't for everyone, we know that. But we are aiming for them to be the very best of what we have on show, and allow us to supply you with images that we'd otherwise be reluctant to relinquish rights to. Check it out here: www.illodeli.com/products-page…

Of course alongside our (very) slowly growing, hand picked Premium selection our main commitment remains in providing great art at a great price. We've updated the site with a new section of "packs" which allow you to snag multiple related images at a great price. We had a few of these hidden away, but now they are all accessible with just one click in their own section. We've also added a few more: www.illodeli.com/products-page…

We have some new images on the site from Andy Hepworth, Scott Purdy, Ben Powis, Scott Neil and Jon Hodgson. Andy brings us fantasy battles and Napoleonic goodness. Scott Purdy once again shows us his prowess in black and white and with monsters. Scott Neil brings the Lovecraft flavour with his range of flavourful investigators and his medieval men at arms pack. Jon has uploaded some alternative graphics based covers for that unique leftfield look.

In other news Jon has taken one of his covers off sale, since it has sold sufficient times to risk diluting it's value to our customers. This is something we do with any image which sells in quantities we consider large enough to begin to devalue the reproduction rights. We like to look after our customers.

Lastly, and far, far from least, we have secured a deal with rpg super-artist Eric Lofgren, and an initial selection of his work is on sale right now. Check it out!: www.illodeli.com/products-page…

Happy browsing!

On monday I'll be doing a charity walk with friends in order to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. From the keyboard of Alasdair Leslie, whose idea this was:

"Last year my mum lost her battle with cancer and sadly passed away in July. During the last months of her life the MacMillan Cancer Support charity helped her and our family a great deal with attentive support and by showing great compassion at a difficult time. As a thank you to them, and as a way of remembering my mum one year on, I have decided to raise a little money to help this charity in continuing to do their excellent work assisting those with, and those affected by this disease.

So what am I going to do to earn your "hard earned"? Well, one day this summer, I am going to walk to work. I know that this doesn't sound too impressive, but please bear in mind that door to door my work is over 30 miles away!

I would mention that I am not doing this alone, and I'd like to thank my own highly tuned "support" team of Andrew Hepworth, Neil Smith, David Lyall, Robert Chatwin, Colin Galbraith, Liane Browne, Sue Lynn, Elaine Hendry and (barring injury) Ian Dickie, for agreeing to join me on the walk on the 25th of July 2010. Oh and maybe some others along the way!!"

A couple of 30s/40s portraits on the blog, mostly an experiment in light and dark but also in rendering off the cuff (albeit with reference).

I'm always disappointed when I do a RAM upgrade and don't get a fanfare and carnival of lights and SFX when turning on the computer again, in this case upgrading the laptop from 2GB to 4GB.  Even more disappointed when it doesn't make my pictures better.  I mean, that's what RAM does right?  Maybe I need to find the AUTO-PAINT function...  ;)

New year is opening with a week of hard work, and the prospect of a new client on the horizon, so I'm eagerly looking forward to the next few weeks.  Still, better keep horsing on with the projects on the table today.  A good 2010 to one and all!
